    SUMMARY:

    Under direct supervision, performs assignments designed to develop engineering work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard techniques, practices, and procedures. Provides entry-level engineering support for small and repetitive generation projects. Conducts small or repetitive studies or participates in larger studies where project performance, cost, and scheduling are the key factors of evaluation.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Provides entry-level engineering support to the generation assets

     

    Provides troubleshooting, condition assessment, vendor capability determination, and test and repair procedures

     

    Communicates engineering ideas, recommendations, and evaluations

     

    Develops and implements projects and provides task updates

     

    Creates and reviews work scopes, modifies/creates operating procedures, updates drawings, and reviews designs

     

    Writes capital budget requests and provides justification for areas assigned

     

    Oversees vendor supplied equipment

     

    Represents the Company on fundamental technical matters

     

    Ensures safety and consistency of engineering results by following Company and industry standards

     

    Provides occasional entry-level technical direction and/or activity supervision to contractors and lower-level personnel

    MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    Bachelor¿s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from a four year college or university accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. (ABET), with one to three years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline.

     

    Project experience is required.

     

    Three or more years of on-site plant engineering experience is preferred.
