    **Job Type:** Full-Time | Consultant (12-Month Contract)

    **Location:** Burnsville, MN 55306

    **Schedule:** Monday to Friday | First Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM; flexible, most work 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)

    **Pay Rate:** $40.41/hour

    **Overtime:** Voluntary, up to 10 hours

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a **Senior Technician – Test Engineer** to support our client’s Avionics Test Engineering team in Burnsville, MN. This is your opportunity to play a critical hands-on role in creating, refining, and supporting advanced test systems for both commercial and defense aerospace products.

     

    Your work will directly support a $5B Avionics strategic business unit—driving innovation, reliability, and excellence in manufacturing test solutions for high-performance sensors and systems used by armed services and global airlines.

    Your Day-to-Day: What You’ll Do

    + Build test hardware including cables, boxes, and racks per engineering schematics and documentation

    + Review test system designs and collaborate on updates to schematics, BOMs, drawings, and hardware documentation

    + Troubleshoot and repair test hardware issues reported by production operations

    + Support the entire lifecycle of test systems, from design to deployment

    + Communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, operators, and technicians

    + Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and technical innovation

     

    Qualifications: What You Bring

    Required:

    + Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and wire lists

    + Hands-on experience assembling and troubleshooting test hardware and cable assemblies

    + Proficiency in soldering, crimping, and using standard electrical tooling

    Preferred:

    + Familiarity with Minnesota state electrical codes and standards

    + Experience building and maintaining complex test systems

    + Understanding of BOMs, component classification, and documentation processes

    + Strong team communication and a willingness to mentor others

    **Pay Details:** $40.41 per hour
