This critical role is responsible for overseeing the entire Ford Product Development process. This process outlines the fundamental process standards and steps employed by Ford to define, develop, verify, approve and implement a vehicle program. In the role of Process Manager, you will support programs worldwide in executing the process efficiently with quality and be required to continually enhance and improve the process. To facilitate these responsibilities, you will develop and manage a comprehensive suite of Program Management tools. This requires a high degree of collaboration, strong decision-making skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
What you'll do
+ Champion and continuously lead improvements to Ford’s Product Development System. Work cross-functionally to implement the world’s best Automotive Product Development process.
+ Lead integration of agile process Enablers to improve Product Development Fitness.
+ Coach/govern program creation of robust, high quality & cross-functionally aligned VPPs. Collaborate with a team of experts to assess program timing and provide recommendations for modifications, aiming to enhance the team's success potential. Act as an internal consultant, guiding program teams through issues that arise during the transition from concept to customer.
+ Co-lead review and approval of Global Program Timing Plans(VPP’s) to ensure robust high quality program timing plans are implemented.
+ Manage Ford’s Global Program Control & Tracking System(Global Integrator/OPTEX) (the main Program Management Tool). Work closely with Ford IT to ensure these tools are operational, secure, and meet the requirements necessary for adherence to the GPDS process.
+ Lead implementation of Ford’s Global Product Development Process(GPDS) and Workstream training to ensure each functional activity and programs have a comprehensive understanding of the GPDS process, including its logic and potential error states.
+ Lead Benchmarking of other OEM(China, North America, European, Asia) Product Development process and identify key areas of opportunities to improve Ford’s efficiency, quality, ability to execute and time-to-market and implement into Ford’s current and future processes.
+ Lead the development of the AI Tool Set for Ford’s Global Product Development Process.

+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
+ 15 years experience Automotive PD Process Development, Engineering and Program Management
Even better, you may have...
+ Master’s degree in engineering or Master's in Business Administration.
+ Experience delivering program’s with highly integrated software.
+ Experience in Design and Release Engineering processes within the Automotive Industry.
+ Experience with Planisware and Atlassian software.
+ Deep understanding of Automotive Product Development Systems.
+ Experience in developing Automotive Procedures and Standards.
+ Experience leading and mentoring global teams.
+ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including PowerPoint presentation development.
+ Strong analytical, problem-solving and solution implementation skills.
+ Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
+ Proficient in MS Office (Excel VBA preferred).
