Salary: $ 17.78 - $18.93
Position Overview: Join The Arc Ontario as a Special Events Coordinator and bring your creativity and passion to life while advancing your career in nonprofit event planning. In this dynamic role, you'll lead the planning and execution of key fundraising events such as the Spring Wine Mixer, Cruisin' for a Cause, Turkey Trot, and Holiday Gift Wrap Booth, while also helping to develop new initiatives in collaboration with the Director of Development and Foundation Events Committee. You'll provide updates at quarterly meetings, take minutes when needed, and ensure each event runs smoothly from start to finish. Flexibility is essential, as some events require evening, weekend, or holiday work. The Arc Ontario Story:

Responsibilities
+ Coordinates all agency special events from start to finish, which will include, but are not limited to the Spring Wine Mixer, Cruisin' for a Cause, Turkey Trot, Holiday Gift Wrap Booth, and other fundraising events as needed.
+ Maintains & reconciles fundraising financial records, including input of all donations to appropriate accounts, adding accounts as needed, clearing old accounts, generating fund reports, and maintaining events financial records with the assistance of the Director, Finance.
+ Work with vendors, venues and volunteers to coordinate all aspects of special events.
Requirements
+ Bachelor's Degree and one (1) year special events experience, or equivalent, with experience in PR/Fund Raising/volunteer environment preferred.
+ Must possess excellent administrative, verbal communication skills, organizational skills, computer skills and the ability to work well with staff and the public.
