Required Skills:
Data Scientist Responsibilities:
1. Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, machine learning, AI, data privacy and security, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand how Meta users interact with our consumer and business products.
2. Validate data quality and integrity.
3. Mine massive amounts of data with privacy concepts and perform large-scale data analysis to extract useful business insights.
4. Develop data pipelines with automated, machine-learning systems that convert noisy core datasets into powerful signals of user behavior.
5. Building models of user behaviors for analysis or to power production systems.
6. Partner with Product and Engineering teams to solve problems, support data privacy review, and identify trends and opportunities.
7. Design and implement dashboards and reports that track key business metrics and provide actionable insights.
8. Inform, influence, support, and execute our product decisions and product launches by effectively communicating results to cross functional groups.
9. Work across areas of product operations, exploratory analysis, product leadership, and data infrastructure to help shape the future of what we build at Meta.
Minimum Qualifications:

10. Requires a Master’s degree (foreign equivalent accepted) in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field and 2 years experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
11. Requires 2 years experience involving the following:
12. 1. Machine learning algorithms
13. 2. Preference of knowledge on data privacy and security
14. 3. ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
15. 4. Relational database (SQL or PL*SQL)
16. 5. Developing in programming language: PHP, Python, or Perl
17. 6. Statistical analysis using R, MATLAB, SPSS, SAS, or Stata
18. 7. Large scale data processing infrastructures using distributed systems (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, MapReduce, or MPI)
19. 8. Quantitative analysis techniques: clustering, regression, pattern recognition, or descriptive, inferential statistics, deep learning techniques, optimization and heuristics
20. 9. Communicating and presenting results of data analyses
Public Compensation:
$183,848/year to $196,900/year + bonus + equity + benefits
