    The Director of Operations is responsible for the storage and distribution strategies in Pharr, Texas. This position will be responsible for the Distribution Center budget and setting the vision for excellence in safety, quality delivery on time and productivity. Support the Pharr leadership team during daily operations and participate in setting short- and long-term goals for each department towards a continuous improvement culture. Promote the usage of automation towards a balanced process between human intervention and technology, that provides the best financially robust scenario for Emerson Tool. Support Emerson’s regulatory compliance and provide the vital resources to keep Emerson’s assets safe and inventory accuracy as per GAAP requirements. Foster the collaboration between the Pharr distribution organization and the rest of Emerson Tool team, to further develop Pharr’s team leadership skills and maintain open communication and support.     In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

    + Participate in supporting the highest standards for safety and a healthy work environment.

    + Direct Leadership team towards the implementation of strategies for order fulfillment, storage and inventory management.

    + Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Customer Service and other departments (S&IOP) to identify distribution needs and set goals accordingly.

    + Facilitate and present data analysis and financial justification for capital investments.

    + Present reports to executives regarding distribution performance and strategies

    + Ensure that products stored in warehouses are keep to match marketing integrity and delivered to customers efficiently and on time

    + Strategically lead warehouse operations in compliance with company’s policies and vision.

    + Ensure all warehousing, receiving and shipping operations adhere to legislation standards.

    + Establish continuous improvement indicators to supervise Safety, Quality, Shipping Accuracy, Labor productivity, Service Levels and Inventory Control.

    + Promote application/use of Lean Manufacturing concepts such as Standard Work, Daily Management system, Inventory Pull Systems, Kaizen events, Poke Yoke solutions to recurrent problems.

    + Periodically review warehouse layout to ensure efficient space utilization. Anticipate the need of additional warehouse during peak business periods, establish actions plans to include logistics and budget requirements.

    + Responsible for the distribution operation financial performance, prepare annual budgets, implement cost reduction actions and provide monthly budget forecasts to divisional finance group.

    + Establish a strong liaison with customers, suppliers, transportation and logistics companies.

    + Collaborate with local universities, technical schools and economic development agencies to build a mutual supporting partnership for company and community growth.

    + Communicate a vision, able to optimistically describe achievements to reach expected future state. Able to empower and encourage entire organization to achieve support behind Vision.

    + Focus on work results from direct reports, asks and provide support on their work plans, problems, questions and concerns. Become available for listening and provide problem solving coaching. Design and establish feedback loops as part of normal work activity.

    + Define and implement career development plans for leadership team. This should yield from performing a solid and punctual performance appraisal process across the entire organization.

    For This Role, You Will Need:

    + Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in distribution or operational leadership.

    + BS degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field

    + Excellent communications skills

    + Strong leadership, decision making and problem-solving skills

    + Proven track record of implementing process improvement initiatives

    + Strong knowledge of warehousing and distribution key process indicators

    + Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases

    + Solid understanding on Microsoft office 365 tools (Excel, Power point, Word, Access, Visio)

    + Expertise in general warehouse management procedures and standard methodologies.

    + Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
