Key Responsibilities:
The Analyst – Cargo Logistics Operations is a key member of Cargo Logistics Team that is responsible for $65+ Million of Road Feed Service (RFS) spend and the management of over 20,000 Unit Load Device (ULD) assets. This position is regionally responsible for strategic enhancements, optimization and oversight of United's Unit Load Devices (ULD) and Road Feeder Service (RFS) including compliance, process improvement, operational performance and cost controls. The successful candidate will be able to proactively use their strategic, operational and process improvement capabilities to drive operational change while collaborating with Operations, Sales, Revenue Management and service partners.
Unit Load Device (ULD) Regional Responsibility (40%)
+ Drive cross divisional relationships with cargo operations colleagues, service partners and Airport Operations staff to complete successful movement of ULDs.
+ Collaborate with regional cargo operations, revenue management and sales colleagues to optimize ULD usage and movements and associated revenue.
+ Responsible for effective coordination of ULD repairs with local repair vendors.
+ Ensure that all ULD Safety and Compliance policies are successfully followed while decreasing ULD damage rates.
+ Successfully manage accurate usage and training for ULD Tracking System (NOMAD).
+ Leverage analytical tools to drive successful decisions which create operational improvement, optimize movement of ULDs, and drive attainable KPI performance
Road Feeder Service (RFS) Regional Responsibility (40%)
+ Responsible for Road Feeder Service (Trucking) operational success for assigned stations.
+ Collaborate with regional cargo operations, revenue management and sales colleagues to optimize RFS usage and movements to drive business, operational and cost efficiencies.
+ Collaborate regularly with local truck carrier partners to ensure operational success.
+ Ensure strong compliance of all RFS policy and procedures.
+ Partner with local cargo operations colleagues and service partners to ensure RFS operational success.
+ Leverage analytical tools to drive successful decisions which create operational improvement and drive KPI compliance.
ULD/RFS Oversight and Optimization (20%)
+ Strategic forecasting/planning models and strategies to support achievement of optimization of ULD movement and RFS trucking network.
+ Develop, maintain and continuously improve analytical insights and solutions to ensure ULD Compliance for Global Operations team.
+ Develop, maintain and continuously improve analytical insights and solutions to drive RFS operational performance improvements and cost mitigation.
**Note:** This position will work 100% of the time at the Houston Cargo facility and will travel up to 10% of the time (both domestic and international travel).
Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or 4 years of relevant experience
+ 1 to 3+ years of experience in data analysis, forecasting or related field
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
+ Project Management skills
+ Team Leadership skills
+ Great communication skills
+ Operations experience
+ Ability to influence
+ Analytical Tool Proficiency (SQL, Spotfire, Tableau, STAT, R, etc.)
+ Analytical mindset, data analysis skillset
+ Ability to travel 10% of the time
+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
+ Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
+ Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

+ Masters degree
+ 3+ years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
+ Lean Six Sigma Certification

The base pay range for this role is $64,885.00 to $88,440.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
