We are hiring a **Manufacturing First Line Supervisor** - **N** **ightshift** to join our **Bellevue - Newark, DE** site **team:**
This position is crucial for overseeing operations within two production areas, managing operators, and ensuring the highest standards of production and safety are maintained. The **Manufacturing First Line Supervisor** will report to the Poromerics Backend Operations Leader and will collaborate with production teams, technical teams, and upper management to optimize production processes.
_This is a 12-hour Nightshift (6:00pm to 6:30am) Supervisor Position_
Your Key Responsibilities:
People Management
+ Supervise approximately 25 direct reports within two production areas.
+ Assess, manage, coach, and develop team members to foster growth.
+ Partner with the Poromerics Training Coordinator for effective operator development.
+ Establish high standards and discipline within the shift team(s).
+ Communicate business directions to ensure alignment and understanding among team members.
Production & Quality Management
+ Oversee and lead production activities to meet target quantities and quality.
+ Ensure appropriate staffing and scheduling to align with production demands.
+ Verify and enforce critical procedures and standard operating protocols.
+ Support technical team members in troubleshooting and resolving process issues.
Activity Coordination
+ Collaborate with Asset Schedulers for production schedule coordination and customer requirements.
+ Work with Asset Coordinators to organize maintenance activities.
+ Ensure efficient execution of maintenance plans by team members, in collaboration with site maintenance staff.
Continuous Improvement
+ Lead and support initiatives aimed at improving production efficiency and reducing waste.
+ Employ LEAN methodologies to drive competitiveness in the production area.
+ Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in partnership with the technical teams.
Organizational Leadership
+ Support production operations across all shifts within the designated areas.
+ Communicate critical information during shift transitions and provide daily performance reports to the Area Manager.
+ Contribute to organizational objectives and project initiatives.
Qualifications:
+ CMPT Manufacturing, Leadership, or Engineering experience is preferred.
+ High School diploma with a minimum of 3 years of direct leadership and manufacturing experience; associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
+ Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in engineering are encouraged to apply.
