    What you’ll do:

    The SPD Operating Room Liaison will work to coordinate and have oversight of daily activities between the Operating Room (OR) and Sterile Processing Department (SPD) to facilitate efficient case flow. Responsible for assisting in projects and process improvement initiatives in the OR and SPD. Promotes customer service/satisfaction through training, education, and resolution of issues on instrumentation in the OR. Perform duties in accordance to TJC, AORN, AAMI guidelines and following hospital policies and procedures.

     

    Assists the operating room staff in preparing the OR suite for surgery by verifying instrument(s) and trays needed are available prior to case start times. Keeps track of case flow during the day, monitors instrument needs, and notifies SPD personnel in advance of any possible additional/emergent instrumentation needs.

    What you'll need for this job:

    + High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education required. Associate's degree preferred. Less than one year of previous job-related experience

    + Preferred: 3-5 years of previous job-related experienceCertified Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician preferred.

    + On call is required

    Compensation:

    Pay Range: $18.81-$28.14 per hour

     

    _Actual compensation will fall within the range but_ _may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles._
