    This position is 100% onsite at our Bohemia, NY office.

     

    This position requires a U.S Person or a person who can qualify for a Department of State or Department of Commerce License.

    Position Summary:

    The Test Technician B performs testing procedures to ensure quality and accuracy in achieving company shipping goals. This role will work closely with the quality, engineering and operations teams to support testing efforts and maintain high standards for product reliability and performance.

    Key Position Accountabilities:

    + Set up, configure, and adjust manual or automatic test equipment

    + Perform a wide variety of test procedures with minimal supervision, ensuring all tests are conducted according to established protocols.

    + Accurately record test results and complete procedural paperwork, ensuring all test data is properly documented and logged.

    + Ensure adherence to testing standards, reviewing test procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for completeness and accuracy.

    + Perform routine calibration checks and maintenance of test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability in test results.

    + Work closely with engineers, quality control teams, and production staff to report test results and provide feedback on any issues or discrepancies.

    + Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and improve overall efficiency.

    + Ensure that all safety, health, and environmental policies are followed during testing procedures.

    + Follow safety protocols within the testing environment, including wearing the required protective gear, handling materials correctly, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    + Knowledge of auto-test systems, temperature control equipment, and other testing equipment.

    + Proficient in using a microscope to inspect components and ensure proper functionality.

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to follow test procedures accurately.

    + Organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.

    + Ability to effectively communicate with team members.

    + Must be able to troubleshoot basic testing issues and work under minimal supervision.

    Qualifications:

    + Technical, vocational, or military training in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field is required.

    + Relevant certifications or additional training in electronics testing are a plus.

    + 2-5 years of experience in a related test technician role or equivalent technical background.

    + Experience with micro-electronic testing procedures and using test equipment is preferred.

    Physical Demands:

    + Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to use small hand tools and microscopes with precision.

    + Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

    + Must be able to remain stationary for extended periods while performing assembly tasks.

    + Must be able to lift or move items up to 25 pounds.
