    Overview

     

    UES is seeking an experiencedAsbestos-Containing Materials (ACM) Project Managerto oversee asbestos-related projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental consulting, project management, and hazardous materials assessment, withexpertisein asbestos regulations and remediation strategies.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage and oversee asbestos inspection, testing, and abatement projects from initiation to completion.

    + Conduct site assessments, surveys, and sampling todeterminethe presence of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs).

    + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local asbestos regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and NESHAP guidelines.

    + Develop and implement project plans, including scopes of work, timelines, and budgets.

    + Prepare technical reports, remediation plans, and regulatory documentation.

    + Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project success.

    + Provide training and guidance on asbestos safety, regulations, and best practices.

    + Perform quality control reviews and risk assessments to ensure adherence to safety and environmental protocols.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field (preferred).

    + **Licensed Asbestos Inspector, Management Planner, or Project Designer** (as required by state regulations).

    + Minimum of **3-5 years of experience** in asbestos assessment, project management, or environmental consulting.

    + In-depth knowledge of **asbestos regulations (EPA, OSHA, NESHAP, AHERA, and state-specific laws)** .

    + Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.

    + Experience preparing **Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA)** (preferred).

    + Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

    + Ability to work in various field conditions and travel as needed for project sites.
