Primary Purpose
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Establish, develop and maintain professional relationships with key leaders across multiple departments that develop, implement and recover the Utilities' revenue requirements and set policies to be applied consistently across the service territory. Leverage internal and external relationships in the development of business plans to implement cost recovery, education of rates structures and their impacts to meet customer and leadership needs regarding service delivery, billing and utility standard service. Project manage reporting and data requirements for regulatory filings, average bill calculations and bill impact determinations for external parties and Executive outreach. Obtains and compiles necessary internal data/information and assists in the preparation of cost of service studies. Performs and reviews analyses related to cost of service, rate design, and pricing of retail electric services, including the evaluation of impacts on the Company and its customers. Prepares various informational filings. Reviews new tariffs and revisions to existing tariffs for the provision of retail electric services. Prepares information used in rate related regulatory proceedings, reports filed with regulatory bodies, and external communications related to retail rate proposals. Participates with other Company departments to evaluate, develop and implement procedures associated with new tariffs and revisions to existing tariffs. Provides open communication to internal and external customers and multiple departments regarding rate changes, structure of rates, costs for services, bill content and the basis for charges to improve customer satisfaction.
Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
Primary Duties
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
+ Drives the preparation of regulatory filings for new tariffs or revisions to existing tariffs for the provision of retail electric services. Prepares and submits informational filings containing prices for retail electric services determined pursuant to formulae and related provisions in approved tariffs and the associated work papers supporting the determination of these prices. (20%)
+ Partners with leads across departments to uphold quality assurance and provides recommendations in the review/referencing of a wide variety of analyses and information produced by the department using analytical and attention to detail skills. (15%)
+ Provides input and understanding of the development and preparation of cost-of-service studies. Utilizes analytical skills to analyze studies and resulting output for multi-department use by communicating the related costs, charges and corresponding company policies and procedures to the customer (with a focus on rates and riders). (15%)
+ Project manage the analyses related to rate design and pricing of retail electric services, including preparing typical bill reports, bill impact studies, and related reporting requirements for filing with regulatory agencies and for external communications related to retail rate proposals. Assists in developing computerized methods for use in analyses. (10%)
+ Reviews and develops in depth understanding of new tariffs and revisions to existing tariffs for retail electric services, including drafting tariff language. Responds to inquiries regarding the design and application of rates for the provision of retail electric services to organizations within the Company. (10%)
+ Meet multiple stakeholder satisfaction and requirements by partnering with internal teams in the preparation of responses to data requests in regulatory proceedings and required reports to regulatory bodies. (10%)
+ Establish and develop strong partnerships with internal departments by developing procedures and communications related to new tariffs and revisions to existing tariffs. (10%)
+ Provide analytical and organizational focus in the preparation of rate case filing documents, using strong analytical background and skills. (10%)
Job Scope
JOB SCOPE
This is an individual contributor position that woks under general supervision and frequently performs non-routine work. This position is expected to resolve most questions and problems through interaction with internal and/or external stakeholders, executives, directors, managers, and staff across the organization. On occasion, may mentor less experienced colleagues. Requests for information or analyses are usually performed independently and are subject to review. Contact with other business units and outside parties requires comprehensive written and oral communications, initiative, judgment and appropriate course of action. Tact, persuasiveness, and perseverance must be utilized. Participation as the department representative on various cross-functional Company projects. Work is somewhat diversified in nature but consists of generally related activities. Decision making authority is related to the completion of projects and assignments. Initiative and judgment are required in determining appropriate courses of action. Work involves the use of computer word processing at an average proficiency level and the use of spreadsheet, and database applications at an advanced proficiency level.
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
+ BA or BS degree and 2 - 5 years relevant experience, OR in lieu of bachelor's degree, 6 - 10 years of relevant analytical and customer service experience is required.
+ Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet development, and presentation programs.
+ Strong analytical and detail orientation skills on a diverse range of subject matter.
+ Customer driven with good oral and written communications skills and general analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
+ Strong relationship building, negotiation aptitude and customer service orientation.
Preferred Qualifications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in legal engineering, business, economics, or financial discipline.

+ Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $67,200.00/Yr. – $92,400.00/Yr.
