The Connectivity Sales Representative plays a pivotal role in helping dealers realize that vision. Acting as a business strategist, technology advocate, and growth partner, this role drives adoption of Generac’s connected solutions while enabling operational improvements that unlock long-term dealer success.
Operating across a diverse dealer landscape, the Representative identifies growth opportunities, builds targeted engagement strategies, and executes high-impact initiatives to expand product adoption, strengthen dealer capabilities, and accelerate sustainable growth.
Success in this role is measured by achieving tangible dealer outcomes, creating more connected, more profitable, and more strategically aligned partners within the Generac ecosystem, while advancing Connectivity’s revenue goals and Generac’s broader mission of delivering energy confidence and achieving 100% uptime for every home.
Roles and Responsibilities:
+ Analyze the dealer network to segment opportunities, prioritize high-value partners, and drive targeted growth initiatives.
+ Develop and execute strategic engagement plans to expand dealer capabilities and growth through the adoption of Generac products, accessories, and applications.
+ Act as a trusted advisor, educating dealers on best practices for connected solutions, service efficiency, customer lifecycle management, and recurring revenue growth.
+ Promote best practices for connected product bundling into service contracts, remote monitoring workflows, and customer lifecycle management.
+ Deliver dealer insights to internal teams informing product roadmap, marketing strategies, and sales enablement initiatives.
+ Identify operational barriers and coordinate with internal teams to remove obstacles and accelerate dealer success.
+ Maintain rigorous visibility to dealer KPIs, program health, and growth forecasts; regularly report status and proactively escalate risks or opportunities.
+ Operate with an entrepreneurial mindset, treating the dealer portfolio as a business to optimize growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
+ Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly (up to 25%).
+ 3+ years in account management, sales enablement, channel development, dealer operations, or business development roles.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
+ Strong business acumen; consultative selling skills; operational coaching; CRM proficiency; ability to analyze data; segmentation and targeting; proactive problem-solving; excellent communication and presentation skills; self-starter mentality with a strong sense of ownership over outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
+ 5+ years working in dealer development, B2B growth strategy, or connected product sales roles. Experience driving growth within an independently owned dealer or channel network

The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
