Manager of IT Ambulatory and Ancillary Applications Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303
$54.02 - $81.04 an hour - Full-Time Days, 40 hours per week
Boulder Community Health is seeking a Manager of IT Ambulatory and Ancillary Applications who is responsible for managing the overall customer service and support of the IT ambulatory, ancillary, and imaging systems used within Boulder Community Health. Specifically

Qualifications •Bachelor’s Degree required •Valid Colorado driver’s license required •Related certifications preferred •Three years of experience in a management position within a hospital setting preferred
Responsibilities •Supervises Ambulatory System Analysts, Ambulatory Technical Support Analysts and other assigned personnel. •Monitors personnel matters to include interviewing and hiring of new staff, maintaining timekeeping records, approving leave and compliance with human resources and employee health policies. •Maintains employees' work schedules to maintain at least minimum staff coverage and assigns work to departmental staff as appropriate •Provides timely feedback, both positive and constructive, to employees concerning work performance, and documents the same. •Establishes and maintains an orientation plan and ensures the orientation of all new personnel to the department, utilizes orientation checklist and skills inventory according to department needs and reviews them annually •Develops, evaluates, implements and supports departmental policies and procedures, goals and objectives, and standards of work for business systems. •Ensures that user requests, work orders and vendor issues/tasks are prioritized and completed in a timely and satisfactory manner. Monitors the use of the internal and vendor problem/request tracking software and ensures that assigned staff keep current documentation on all assigned tasks. •Implements service level agreements, monitors and tracks performance against the established metrics and communicates performance to staff and customers on a regular basis •Works with physicians, nurses, and other hospital staff to enhance the use, efficiency, and productivity of business applications and communicate their concerns/needs to the Director of Application Services and/or the Chief Information Officer. •Continually reviews application/system operations to identify weaknesses, operational or workflow problems, and other areas that need improvement. •Assists in evaluating systems, preparing end-user and functional system requirements, analysis of alternatives, and implementation of new systems or enhancements to existing ones. •Creates and executes project plans, estimates timeframes, outlines specific tasks and identifies resources needed to complete projects on schedule and within budget. •Assists customer departments with the implementation of business information systems. •Monitors progress to keep projects on track by conducting regular project meetings and following up with areas that need assistance. •Prepares and submits project documentation (i.e., risk management plan, communication plan, project status reports, etc.) to the assigned project team, project manager and/or the Chief Information Officer as appropriate.
