As a **Security Officer - Government Patrol** in **Punta Gorda, FL** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an Access Control Officer in a government setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, assisting visitors, and providing excellent customer service and communication. You will work as part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity. Your presence and professionalism contribute to a secure environment for all individuals at the location.

Responsibilities:

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access control procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.

+ Monitor entry and exit points, verifying credentials and granting access only to authorized individuals.

+ Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to established protocols.

+ Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies.

+ Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

+ A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.

+ Florida Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
