Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join a non-profit organization. This role is 100% remote. Your responsibilities will include overseeing key operational processes, supervising the accounts payable activities, and leading efforts to improve efficiency and compliance within the department. This project is expected to go through the end of 2025, with a possibility of going into 2026. The ideal consultant will bring proficiency in Workday Financial Management, project management experience, and high-quality leadership skills. Pay is up to $75/hr. You must work a PST schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise daily accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments.

• Lead and mentor accounts payable staff, fostering growth and team collaboration.

• Oversee month-end close activities, including reconciliation and reporting to ensure financial accuracy.

• Develop and implement training materials, policies, and procedures to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

• Conduct training sessions for staff to ensure adherence to updated policies and procedures.

• Monitor and analyze accounts payable metrics, utilizing dashboards and reports to identify areas for improvement.

• Coordinate clean-up initiatives to address discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of accounts payable functions.

• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards in all accounts payable processes.

Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounts payable, including at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable procedures.

• Proficiency in accounting systems such as Workday, ADP, Concur, and other financial software.

• Ability to analyze financial data and generate comprehensive reports.

• Expertise in accounts payable functions, accrual accounting, and auditing processes.

• Familiarity with automated payment systems such as Automated Clearing House (ACH).

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on process improvement.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
