    Description

    Are you an experienced financial professional ready to take on an impactful leadership role? Robert Half is currently assisting a reputable company in San Diego, CA, in their search for a highly skilled Finance Manager for a contract-to-permanent position. This is an excellent opportunity to combine financial expertise and team leadership to help drive the company’s success while transitioning into a permanent role.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Oversee and manage the company’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

    + Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to inform decision-making and strategic planning.

    + Monitor and evaluate key financial metrics, including revenue, expenses, cash flow, and profitability.

    + Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP) and tax regulations.

    + Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.

    + Collaborate with department heads to align departmental budgets with organizational goals.

    + Work closely with senior leadership to offer financial insights and recommendations.

    + Supervise and mentor the finance team, ensuring a high level of accuracy and operational efficiency.

    + Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals to facilitate annual audits and filings.

    Requirements

    + Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in finance or accounting, including 2+ years in a managerial or supervisory role.

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.

    + Advanced Excel skills required (e.g., pivot tables, macros, data analysis). Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite is a strong plus.

    + Solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and cost management best practices.

    + Proven ability to manage teams effectively and inspire collaboration. Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
