Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Verona, Virginia. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping to contribute to a dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy while supporting various financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.

• Manage coding of accounts and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Utilize accounting software systems, including ERP platforms, to maintain financial records and generate reports.

• Perform data entry tasks for financial transactions and maintain organized documentation.

• Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and resolve payment issues.

• Assist with auditing processes and ensure adherence to accrual accounting standards.

• Handle automated clearing house (ACH) transactions and other electronic payment methods.

• Prepare periodic financial reports and summaries for management review.

• Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and support the overall financial operations of the organization.

• Occasionally work evenings or weekends based on organizational needs. Requirements • Associate degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience and training.

• Minimum of three years’ experience in accounting or bookkeeping, with a focus on accounts payable and receivable.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems, preferably Dynamics and ERP platforms.

• Advanced skills in Word, Excel, and Adobe Pro.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

• Familiarity with payroll systems such as ADP and financial tools like Concur.

• Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as required.
