Description

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in Greenville, South Carolina. This Contract-to-permanent position will involve part-time work throughout the year, with increased hours required during tax season. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple clients while maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients, including sales tax filings and bank reconciliations.

• Prepare and close financial books, ensuring balance sheets and supporting documentation are complete and accurate.

• Communicate directly with clients to address inquiries and provide updates on their financial accounts.

• Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting systems to maintain accurate records and perform necessary calculations.

• Support tax preparation efforts during tax season, including business and personal tax returns.

• Analyze financial statements and collaborate on tax planning strategies to help clients understand personal tax impacts.

• Assist with payroll processing and ensure accounts payable and receivable are properly managed.

• Work onsite initially to build rapport and gain familiarity with processes before transitioning to remote work, if applicable.

• Adapt to working with clients who use different accounting systems, including Enterprise desktop versions.

Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping, including account reconciliation, month-end close, and balance sheet preparation.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with other accounting systems.

• Strong skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll management.

• Ability to perform accurate data entry and maintain detailed financial documentation.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools.

• Willingness to learn and support tax-related responsibilities, including planning and preparation.

• Excellent communication skills for direct client interaction and collaboration.

• Comfortable working onsite at the beginning of the role to establish trust and familiarity.
