    The IT Specialist - SAP Data Lead is responsible for the implementation and support of highly secure and resilient technology solutions and considered a subject matter expert. This position develops and maintains strong relationships with technology peers to ensure operational excellence in their area of influence. The IT Specialist - SAP Data Lead is focused on continuous improvement, both personal, business, and technical expertise, in support of the Digital and IT strategic vision and roadmap.

     

    The position will also be responsible for owning, planning, executing, and overseeing data migration activities within SAP projects. This role requires a deep understanding of data management, SAP modules, data migration processes, tools, and methodologies to ensure accurate and efficient data transfer from legacy systems to SAP.

     

    + Knowledgeable in IT life-cycle management methodologies, including design, development, testing, project management and change management

    + Accountable for delivery of solutions (Business Process), plus the architecture and documentation within their area of technical expertise, supporting enterprise and global environments

    + Leads the development and implementation of solutions that address new business requirements, risk management and producing standardized documentation

    + Understands business impact; Create and communicate decisions impacting the wider business, effectively managing customer expectations

    + Has a broad understanding of IT strategy across all functions and can assess impact on own area

    + Data Migration Strategy: Partner with SAP Leadership Team and External partners to develop and implement a comprehensive data migration strategy

    + Data Assessment and Cleansing: Establish standard procedures for Deployments to analyze data in legacy systems, identify data quality issues, and advise on data cleansing to ensure accuracy and completeness before migration

    + Mapping and Transformation: Plan, organise, create and own data mapping workshops and data mapping documents

    + Migration Execution: Execute/Oversee data migration processes using SAP tools (e.g., LSMW, BODS, Alteryx etc.) and ensure successful data loading into the SAP system

    + Testing and Validation: Conduct/Oversee thorough testing and validation of migrated data to ensure integrity and functionality within the SAP environment. Work closely with SAP functional SME and business process owners to complete various test cycles

    + Risk Management: Ensure data related activities are clearly monitored and defined, escalate to risk framework as appropriate

    + Documentation: Establish and maintain detailed documentation of data migration processes, mapping, and transformation rules

    + Collaboration: Work closely with SAP functional SMEs, business process owners, third party vendors, and other project stakeholders, to ensure alignment and support during the migration process. The ideal candidate would be comfortable with customer facing scenarios and possess the ability to communicate effectively

    + Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders on data management practices and tools related to SAP

    + 4-year University / College Degree and relevant technical / business certifications

    + 5+ years’ experience in SAP environments, with a strong focus on cross application knowledge

    + Ability to maintain professional and strong relationships with business partners, contactors, and stakeholders

    + Hands-on expertise with SAP transport management, and audit/compliance tooling or willingness to learn from a start point of a strong technical aptitude

    + Strong understanding of data modelling, data mapping, and ETL processes. Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation languages. Familiarity with data quality tools and methodologies

    + High attention to detail with a commitment to process integrity and auditability

    + Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across engineering, IT, and compliance teams

    + Proven ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a high-standards environment

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess data quality and integrity.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

    + Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong continuous improvement mindset

    + Experience in security best practices and compliancy requirements for area of expertise

    + Ability to travel as needed

    + Available to provide after-hours technical support as needed

    + Pay Range: $108,737/annually to $190,349/annually

    + Participation in Annual Incentive Program

    *Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations.
