    Aetna is recruiting an Executive Director, Product Strategy and Development for Aetna’s Medicaid Behavioral Health, Maternal Health and Social Impact/Equity products on national programs. This leader is accountable for the development of an integrated business, product strategy and execution roadmap, and serves as a point of connection internally and externally to share strategic plans with key partners to activate market capabilities and drive engagement across the enterprise in support of customer and business needs.

    Major Responsibilities:

    + Leading the product strategy and management department, overseeing the development and execution of product strategies, roadmaps, and initiatives.

    + Developing, executing and overseeing a business strategy that prioritizes growth.

    + Developing and executing a comprehensive product strategy aligned with the organization's overall goals and market trends, ensuring the long-term success and growth of the product portfolio.

    + Communicating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, designers, and marketing professionals, to define product vision, goals, and requirements for new products or enhancements.

    + Driving the product development process from ideation to launch, overseeing the entire product lifecycle, including concept development, market validation, prototyping, testing, and commercialization.

    + Establishing product roadmaps, prioritizing features and functionality based on customer needs, market demand, and business objectives.

    + Developing processes to conduct regular market and competitive assessments to stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer preferences, and incorporate findings into product strategy and positioning.

    + Leading the department in monitoring product performance and key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing data and feedback to assess product effectiveness and identify areas for improvement or optimization.

    + Providing leadership and mentorship to the product strategy and management team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability while supporting their professional growth and development.

    + Communicating with sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies, positioning, and pricing strategies to maximize product adoption and revenue growth.

    Required Qualifications:

    The candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and be able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment. This position offers broad exposure to all aspects of the company’s business, as well as significant interaction with all the business leaders. The candidate will be expected to have the following key attributes:

     

    + 10+ years of experience in healthcare, with focus on product development, business strategy or market activation/engagement.

    + Background within relevant functional areas including strategic business planning, product and project leadership, marketing and communications and related skill areas.

    + 7+ years of Medicaid experience.

    + 7+ years of management experience of diverse team with track record of development talent, building high performing teams and driving accountability within direct and indirect reports or cross-functional teams.

    + Proven leadership experience setting strategic direction, managing complex programs and leading multidisciplinary teams in complex stakeholder environments to drive outcomes and deliverables from inception to completion.

    + Proven relationship management skills at senior levels within an organization and external constituents and ability to influence executive level stakeholders.

    + Demonstrated experience developing analysis, presentations and support material to successfully implement strategy or broad change initiatives. Data and results driven; ability to shape and harness qualitative and quantitative data and research to drive decision-making.

    + Strong analytical and written/oral communication skills, with speaking engagement experience to a variety of audiences of both clinical and non-clinical backgrounds.

    + Contracts experience (i.e. negotiation with vendors).

    + Production Solution background.

    + ILOS experience.

    + Value Added Benefits experience.

    + Adept at business intelligence.

    + Mastery of problem solving and decision-making skills.

    + Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

    Education:

    Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.

     

    Pay Range

    The typical pay range for this role is:

    $131,500.00 - $303,195.00

     

    This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
