    Role Summary/Purpose:

    Synchrony is continuing to build a world class Online Digital Bank - with smart savings products that help consumers prepare for their futures. Our Bank Marketing team brings these products to life through all stages and touchpoints of the customer lifecycle. Within Bank Marketing, our Content team is responsible for identifying and creating engaging savings content that lives on Synchrony's site/blog/organic social (unpaid), and across all media channels (paid) as well as creating content that creates authority and thought leadership with existing customers. We are seeking an VP, Bank Content Leader to ensure development and implementation of thoughtful content across bank ecosystem. This role will interact extensively with Brand Leader, Creative Agency, Creative Director, Paid Media, Content COE, Website and Agile teams.

    **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** :

    + Define the role of the consumer bank/savings in positioning us as a thought leader in financial wellness specific to savings

    + Create audience led strategy with connected messages for all consumer bank audiences across all touchpoints: blog, website, native, paid and unpaid social, email

    + Expand content beyond blog articles into preferred delivery for specific audience: video, infographics

    + Develop, Execute and Measure Consumer Bank Content Strategy and Calendar to ladder up to Enterprise Content Calendar

    + Partner with Brand team to ensure that all materials align with brand voice, look and feel

    + Partner with paid media, website and lifecycle teams to develop content that attracts prospects and engages existing customer

    + Own Strategic Content Partnerships as they relate to Savings- with both External and Internal Agencies.

    + Partner with internal agency to identify opportunities to improve SEO performance; make data-driven decisions for changes

    + Partner with our Agile Team who will publish blog articles, and optimize display of content on our sites.

    + Own legal and compliance approval process; responsible for regular reviews of existing content to ensure accuracy.

    + Create test summaries that capture learnings, best practices & make recommendations.

    + Assist in the development of quarterly/annual business reviews and planning.

    + Provide regular internal updates on upcoming initiatives

    + Perform other dues and/or special projects as assigned

    + Other duties and special projects (i.e. manage customer correspondence update)

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    + Bachelor's degree or in lieu of degree, GED and 7+ years marketing experience

    + 5+ years of experience in marketing, agency or vendor management focused on content development and SEO.

    + 5+ years experience in Content Strategy

    + 2+ years of experience in vendor/project management

    Desired Characteristics:

    + Experience in Banking and Deposit Products (i.e., Savings, Checking, CDs and Credit Cards)

    + Prior experience managing digital media agencies and/or working with digital measurement tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics of Data Management Platforms.

    + Strategic thinking with ability to develop and implement actionable plans to drive business results.

    + Strong inter-personal skills, with ability to influence across cross-functional teams

    + Demonstrated project management skills.

    + Strong problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to evaluate situations using multiple sources of information.

     

    Grade/Level: 12

     

    The salary range for this position is **110,000.00 - 185,000.00** USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

     

    Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

     

    Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

    Eligibility Requirements:

    + You must be 18 years or older

    + You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

    + You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

    + You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

    + New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
