Customer Care Specialist – Freight Forwarding (Sea Logistics)
**Location:** Media, PA
**Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
**Pay Rate:** $25.00 per hour
**Job Type:** Temp-to-Hire
Adecco is seeking a dedicated **Customer Care Specialist** with strong experience in freight forwarding and sea logistics to support one of our global logistics clients. This is a customer-facing role within a freight forwarding environment— **not a general customer service or call center position** .
Only candidates with recent experience in freight forwarding or logistics (especially ocean freight) will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Serve as a primary point of contact for Sea Logistics customers, handling inquiries, updates, and issue resolution.
+ Enter and manage customer orders and documentation accurately within internal systems.
+ Monitor shipment progress and provide proactive updates regarding delays or exceptions.
+ Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth end-to-end logistics execution.
+ Resolve customer concerns professionally and in a timely manner.
+ Maintain updated customer profiles and preferences in logistics systems.
+ Assist in onboarding new clients and customizing services to meet their logistics needs.
+ Generate and improve internal reports related to customer performance.
+ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team projects.
Qualifications:
+ 2–3+ years of experience in international freight forwarding, ideally in ocean freight (Sea Logistics).
+ Knowledge of shipping documentation such as HBL, MBL, and Incoterms.
+ Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
+ Customer-focused and solution-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach.
+ Experience with logistics platforms (e.g., CargoWise, SAP TM, or similar) is a plus.

**Pay Details:** $25.00 per hour
