    What are we looking for?

     

    The Construction QC / QA Inspector is responsible for conducting jobsite inspections and materials testing throughout the SeaTac Area.

    Salary & Benefits Information:

    The base wage or salary range for this position is $35 - $55/HR. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

    What you’ll do:

    + Perform a variety of testing, project-specific observations, and inspection duties under general supervision

    + Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams

    + Use specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasks

    + Read and interpret plans and specifications

    + Maintain and calibrate standard equipment

    + Make detailed observations and gives the interpretation of results

    + Train/supervise and perform complex assignments and work tasks

    + Attend project meetings alone without supervision

    + Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results

    + Communicate effectively with client and project teams

    Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

    + 5+ years relevant construction inspection, quality assurance and quality control experience on transportation/heavy civil projects

    + ACI and ICC Certifications

    + Valid Driver’s License and reliable driving record

    + Must have Basic Math, Calculator, and Computer Skills

    + Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

    + Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be fluent in English

    + Must be able to read plans and specifications

    + Must be able to work off shifts and overtime

    + Computer skills, especially familiarity with MS Office applications. are necessary

    + Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently. Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance

    + Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound

    + Ability to kneel, squat and climb occasionally

    + Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time

    + Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold)

    Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma or equivalent

    + One or more of the following certifications: ICC, ACI, Nuclear Gauge, WABO, WAQTC, and/or CWI
