Description:
The Executive Director, Oncology Early Assets will report directly to the SVP, WW Oncology Commercial and be responsible for working closely with members of Research and Early Clinical Development to provide commercial input into the solid tumor pre proof of concept portfolio of assets. The role will require close collaboration within the Early Asset team, as well as with Global Business Insights and Analytics (BIA), Global Project Leadership, Research & Early Development, Thematic Research Centers (TRCs) Tumor Strategy Teams (TSTs), and commercial oncology business development. This individual will manage a group of Directors aligned to Tumor Microenvironment, IO / Cell Therapy, Oncogenesis, and Mechanisms of Cancer Resistance (MoCR) thematic research centers (TRCs).
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop cross-tumor, cross disciplinary commercial recommendations for early assets, including directional TPPs, preliminary market assessments (disease landscapes, competitive monitoring, unmet needs), financial analysis, indication prioritization, and initial value propositions
+ Oversee and / or represent commercial point of view on early assets at governance committees
+ Participate in development of BMS's TRC strategy through collaboration with TRC leadership to understand short-and long-term strategy and objectives, identifying areas for commercial support
+ Coach, mentor and develop team of commercial development experts
+ Contribute early asset point of view and progress into yearly strategic plan
+ Partner with competitive intelligence to prioritize effort monitoring the early asset competitive landscape to ensure timely reporting and actionability of insights
+ Contribute to development of internal and/or external communication pertaining to solid tumor pipeline, as appropriate
+ Collaborate with our BD, BD commercial, and R&ED leads to identify and evaluate key external opportunities, as appropriate
+ Develop and oversee budget for EA group
+ Manage congress CI coverage in collaboration Asset and BD teams for major congresses-ESMO, AACR, SITC and ASCO
+ Represent early assets on Oncology Strategy Teams to focused on build presence tumors to ensure tumor intrinsic pathways are fully considered in strategy
Key Qualifications & Experience:
+ 8-12 years of experience in biopharmaceutical or related field with 4+ years of oncology marketing/commercialization experience
+ Bachelor's degree required; master's or graduate degree preferred
+ A unique blend of scientific acumen with demonstrated commercial competencies required
+ The ability to acquire/synthesize complex scientific/medical data and apply this effectively to the early commercialization processes
+ Experience in oncology marketing across early stage (desirable), launch and post launch products essential
+ Experience in mobilizing matrix team members, embracing teamwork and driving results within a cross functional environment
+ Experience partnering with R&D preferred
The starting compensation for this job is a range from $244,000-$289,000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).
The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed.
Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
