This is a hybrid role based out of our office in New York, NY. The Target Pay Range for this position is $156,250 - $195,250 annually. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training, and budget.

The Mars Petcare Division, Science & Diagnostics, is looking for an experienced corporate affairs leader to join our Corporate Affairs team to oversee internal and business communications for the division. The person in this position creates, manages, and executes the strategic internal business communications in line with our purpose to make A BETTER WORLD FOR PETS.
The person in this role is responsible for safeguarding, promoting, and evolving the corporate culture, including change management, ensuring that all Internal Communications strategies are aligned with business objectives. You will co-create business strategy communications with Senior Leaders across the division, which translates into everyday language that every Associate can understand and be inspired by. These strategies will help shape what Associates know and believe about our division, Mars Petcare and Mars, are will be designed to encourage positive behavior changes and foster engagement to create an even greater place to work. The person is this role will provide strategic oversight and plans for all internal communications at the divisional level and within businesses and science community and will be part of the Mars Petcare Internal Communications Community and the Mars Inc Internal/External Editorial Team to ensure messaging and calendars are coordinated, consistent and reinforced across the globe.

Key responsibilities
+ Enable Associate understanding of strategy and business direction for the division.
+ Create and execute a communication strategy, plans and programs to drive an enterprise mindset and increase Associate pride and connection across the division.
+ Partner with our People & Organization (P&O) leaders to help establish the divisional culture program and continue to implement and embed other aspects of Mars culture including Mars Associate engagement initiatives including Make The Difference, ARGs, I&D program, Mars Associate survey, training & education (Mars University), Great Line Management, etc.
+ Partner with SP&F and P&O leaders to embed transformation and change programs across division.
+ Create and deliver consistent and impactful Visible Leadership strategies and executions for SDx President and SDx LT across Leader Community and Associates communications and engagement.
+ Design global divisional Associate communication channel strategy:
+ Define audience segments and understand their needs as set by business priorities. Audit to understand strengths and opportunity areas in the current employee communications channel landscape.
+ Create the communications channel landscape, using data and technologies to allow for effective, targeted engagement. Design channels that strengthen culture and build meaningful two-way dialogue around business strategy and priorities.
+ Oversee the roll out of consistent and accessible Associate communication channels – such as newsletters, broadcasts, events, and intranet sites, scala screens
+ Measure performance of communications channels to help optimize channels over time.
+ Editorial operations:
+ Act as central editor and develop copy and assets as needed for dissemination across channels (regular newsletter, the intranet, regular broadcasts, and ad hoc Associate engagements)
+ Coordinate and oversee most strategic way to disseminate/share stories and news from across Science & Diagnostics and the wider Mars enterprise to inform and inspire Associates and equip them with resources to help them do their jobs.
+ Together with the SDx CA Leadership Team, build and roll out editorial approach, processes and content style guides to maintain the highest quality standard for Associate communications.
+ Create and maintain tools, content assets, playbooks, distribution lists, etc. to support divisional partners and communicators in reaching their audiences.
Skills and experience required:
+ Bachelor’s degree in communications or associated area is preferred.
+ 12+ years relevant experience in corporate communications in agency or in-house in a scientific, medical, med tech, diagnostics or health field.
+ Exceptional writer and facilitator of multiple forms of communications.
+ Ability to process, interpret and communicate complex information that will impact audiences.
+ Capable of enterprise-wide thinking, leadership and stakeholder perspective-taking.
+ High degree of professionalism, maturity, agility, executive presence, business understanding, organizational awareness and confidentiality.
+ Prior experience in change management and organizational development required.
+ Proven success in leading communications in highly complicated settings (i.e., multi-unit, matrixed organization) required.
+ Experience communicating effectively in a global organization is required.
+ Experience in digital communications leadership preferred.
+ Fluency in English.
