Job Title: Bagger Operator

Job Description

Bagger Operators are responsible for the manual processes of filling, sealing, labeling, loading, and stacking bags of processed crop seed onto pallets, and transporting the pallets via fork truck to the proper locations onsite. All employees are responsible for performing general quality checks and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Responsibilities

+ Operate a fork truck to transport pallets.

+ Lift 40-60 lbs independently throughout the shift.

+ Climb ladders up to 70-80 feet to assist with grain elevator operations during warmer months.

+ Conduct quality checks to ensure product standards.

+ Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Essential Skills

+ Willingness to learn or previous experience in operating forklifts.

+ Ability to lift 40-50 lbs independently throughout the shift.

+ Ability to climb ladders up to 70 feet independently throughout the shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous fork truck experience is helpful.

+ Experience in manufacturing, distribution, automotive, or agricultural roles is preferred.

Work Environment

The facility is completely enclosed but not temperature-controlled. Employees will engage in some outdoor work, especially during warmer parts of the year, when loading product into or running the grain elevator. Bagging and other processing operations occur indoors. Large fans are utilized in the summer, and extra breaks are allowed under extreme conditions to ensure safety. The environment is lively, with country music playing throughout the facility.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delphi, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
