    Position Responsibilities:

    As a Prep Cook, you’ll play an essential role in our kitchen by:

    + Preparing specific food items to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to recipes.

    + Maintaining kitchen sanitation in accordance with health department standards.

    + Setting up and maintaining assigned kitchen workstations.

    + Practicing safe food handling and proper storage techniques.

    + Minimizing waste and ensuring the appropriate use of supplies and equipment.

    + Keeping work areas clean and equipment maintained.

    + Reporting any equipment repair or maintenance needs.

    + Supporting other back-of-house tasks as directed by management.

    Position Qualifications:

    + At least 1 year of experience as a cook in a full-service restaurant; a passion for food is essential, and pizza knowledge is a plus!

    + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize tasks.

    + Strong ability to handle stress while maintaining a calm, welcoming demeanor.

    + Commitment to producing high-quality work in line with Emmy Squared standards.

    + Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.

    + Physical ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs., push/pull up to 75 lbs., and stand for extended periods.

    + Proficiency with culinary tools and the ability to taste and smell ingredients to ensure quality.
