Job Title: Metal Mechanic
Job Description
Join a dynamic team on a year-long project focused on the construction of two multi-family residential apartment buildings. With one building comprising 100 units and the other 200 units, you will be part of a skilled 14-person crew, assisting with roughing, installation of PVC storm lines, PEX tubing, and fixtures.
Responsibilities
+ Assist in the roughing and installation of PVC storm lines and PEX tubing.
+ Work on the installation of fixtures in residential apartment buildings.
+ Collaborate effectively within a 14-person crew to ensure project success.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in plumbing and PVC installation.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Possession of SM1 and SM2 qualifications.
+ Must bring OSHA 10 certification and relevant license on the first day.

Work Environment
Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Parking is conveniently available on the right side of the building. Initially, there are no weekend work opportunities, though this may change in the coming months. The dress code includes a yellow safety shirt, work boots, work pants, safety glasses, and a hard hat. The site is within walking distance of fast food restaurants and convenience stores.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Southport, Connecticut.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
