Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic performs routine maintenance and repair work on machinery, equipment, systems, buildings, and facilities. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of production by minimizing downtime and addressing mechanical issues promptly.

Responsibilities

+ Perform mechanical preventative maintenance on all equipment according to schedule.

+ Inspect machinery, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair to keep production running and reduce downtime.

+ Effectively troubleshoot all mechanical equipment, take corrective action, repair, replace, or rebuild as necessary.

+ Read, interpret, and follow blueprints and sketches, making all measurements and calculations necessary to complete the job.

+ Complete work orders, requisitions, inspection reports, time distribution, and material usage documentation.

+ Perform clerical duties as necessary to maintain proper records.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Minimum 2-3 years of experience for a B Mechanic or 5+ years for an A Mechanic in Industrial Maintenance.

+ Experience in maintaining industrial machinery, industrial ovens, and mobile equipment.

+ Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and power transmission.

+ Preference for candidates with some fabrication skills, ability to use a mill and lathe.

+ Welding skills are a plus.

+ Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

+ Experience with machine safety, guarding, hot work, and lockout/tagout procedures.

Work Environment

Work in a manufacturing environment that is not climate-controlled, which can be hot or humid. The facility may have wet, dusty, and uneven surfaces, high noise levels, vibration, and fumes. Personal protective equipment, including steel-toed shoes, ear protection, eye protection, gloves, and head protection, is required in certain areas.

The pay range for this position is $74880.00 - $74880.00/yr.
