The Business
**Create your future.** Our Corporate Risk & Broking Construction team – part of WTW’s global Risk & Broking segment – helps clients navigate the unique challenges of building and infrastructure projects through innovative insurance and risk management strategies. We partner with some of the world’s largest contractors, developers, and owners to protect their most complex and capital-intensive projects. From placing Builders Risk policies to advising on emerging construction risks, we deliver tailored solutions that support our clients’ success from the ground up.
**Explore an opportunity.** This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and exposure to a variety of client, carrier, and internal interactions that support the full lifecycle of commercial construction insurance placements. You’ll be introduced to innovative tools, strategic processes, and industry best practices that help our clients manage and mitigate risk across large and complex construction projects.

+ Builders Risk Support
+ Participate in job shadowing opportunities during client renewal meetings, internal broking strategy sessions, and carrier negotiations.
+ Coordinate client communications and help manage deliverables through the renewal process.
+ Assist with policy checking, including First Pair of Eyes (FPOE) / Second Pair of Eyes (SPOE) reviews and documentation.
+ Enter and update policy and client information.
+ Conduct naming convention clean-up and post-bind audit reviews.
+ Assess data for completeness and accuracy to support compliance and service delivery.
+ Set up new and renewal opportunities in internal broking systems.
+ Input and maintain client-specific data.
+ Learn to use WTW’s Core Analytics models and support the development of loss analysis tools.
+ Pull and clean loss run data from carriers/Third-Party Administrators (TPAs); consolidate and prepare upload templates.
+ Create and update key client-facing deliverables, including:
+ Loss ratio workbooks and scatter plots for internal strategy meetings.
+ Exposure, premium, and retention history workbooks.
+ Mod Snapshot reports via ModMaster and EMR worksheets.
+ Construction Global Line of Business (GLOB) benchmarking Excel files for Large & Complex programs.
+ Prepare ad hoc and monthly reporting requests.
+ Assist in the preparation of Master Builders Risk (MBR) and Project Builders Risk (PBR) quotes.
+ Review client-submitted project logs for accuracy and timeliness.
Qualifications
Education and Academic Requirements:
+ Progress towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, risk management, actuarial science, or any other major with significant quantitative course work with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
+ **Expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027**
Experience and Skills:
+ Prior internship or work experience in a professional setting that demonstrates strong analytical, technical, or client service capabilities (e.g., business analyst, risk management, financial services, or insurance internship experience preferred).
+ Passion for solving problems, identifying trends, and delivering innovative solutions that exceed client expectations.
+ Strong initiative and ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a close-knit team environment.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (e.g., use of formulas, PivotTables, and basic data analysis).
Additional Requirements:
+ This is a hybrid position based in **Minneapolis, MN** , requiring local residency or the ability to commute to the WTW Minneapolis office.
+ Able to work up to 15 hours/week from August 2025 – December 2025.
+ Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
