    Aon Is Looking For An Underwriting Specialist II (Senior Underwriting Assistant)

     

    This is an exciting opportunity for an Underwriting Specialist II with a hybrid schedule (2 days a week in office) located in our Fort Washington, PA office.

    What the day will look like

     

    You will play a crucial role in supporting our NEMT Underwriting team. Your responsibilities will include:

     

    + Processing and managing endorsement and loss run requests.

    + Coordinating follow-ups related to premiums and cancellations.

    + Assisting with the triage of incoming emails for the underwriting team.

    + Supporting underwriters in executing their key duties to improve team performance.

    + Engaging extensively with internal teams to identify, research, and resolve issues.

    + Building and maintaining positive relationships with underwriters, marketing professionals, brokers, and policy operations associates to deliver high-quality service to clients.

    + Managing daily tasks within established guidelines and adapting to new assignments with general instructions.

    + Performing other duties as assigned.

     

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

     

    + An active Property and Casualty insurance license is preferred, must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

    + Knowledge of insurance coverage, with prior experience in Auto insurance being a plus!

    + Proficiency in accurate rating and processing of endorsements

    + Ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with underwriting colleagues, managers, insurance broker clients, and carrier partners for efficient task execution

    + Strong prioritization and effective time management skills.

    Education

    + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

    Pay Transparency Laws

     

    The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $55,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
