Overview:
St. Luke’s Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Business Specialist to join our team in Boise, Idaho. This position provides crucial support across our outpatient pharmacy services, combining pharmacy operations, compliance monitoring, administrative coordination, and analytical expertise to enhance patient care and business efficiency.
What You’ll Do:
+ Serve as a go-to resource for pharmacy operations questions and support.
+ Assist with process compliance, standard operating procedures, and documentation across pharmacy sites.
+ Act as a compounding champion, supporting safe and compliant sterile and non-sterile preparation processes.
+ Conduct administrative duties, including monitoring shared email distribution lists and participating in technician interviews.
+ Support site operations, including occasional travel for inventory counting and auditing.
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with staff across all outpatient pharmacy services sites.
Specialized Responsibilities:
340B Program Support
+ Aggregate and analyze data from pharmacy and clinic systems to support 340B compliance.
+ Monitor 340B software settings and transactions for optimization and accuracy.
+ Manage billing conversions, credit/rebills, and direct manufacturer repayments as needed.
+ Maintain accurate manual tracking systems and assist with internal and external audits.
+ Research and interpret rule changes, legislation, and audit requirements related to the 340B program.
Product Verification Support
+ Perform final product verification on prescription drug orders following pharmacist clinical review, in compliance with State and Federal regulations.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
+ Previous pharmacy experience, particularly in outpatient or health system settings.
+ Pharmacy buyer or technician background strongly preferred.
+ Experience as a process control specialist or in a similar analytical/operations-focused role.
+ Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Effective communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
Education & Experience Requirements:
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
+ Experience: Entry-level candidates welcome (0 years required); pharmacy or healthcare business experience strongly preferred.
