Clinical Laboratory Clerk (Lab Info Processing Spec)
_Support essential lab operations and patient care behind the scenes and at the bedside._
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and dependable **Clinical Laboratory Clerk** to support the day-to-day clerical and phlebotomy functions of our dynamic Clinical Laboratory team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that lab services run smoothly and efficiently for patients and providers alike.

Key Responsibilities
+ Perform a variety of clerical tasks including logging in specimens, processing samples for reference labs, charting, filing, answering phones, and handling specimen pickup and delivery.
+ Provide high-quality **phlebotomy services** for outpatients (first shift only).
+ Greet and assist patients and visitors, providing clear and compassionate communication.
+ Maintain orderly and accurate records while managing priorities under direct supervision.
+ Collaborate with laboratory staff and contribute to an efficient and well-organized work environment.
Minimum Requirements
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Strong verbal communication skills to interact with patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals.
+ Ability to work with patients of all ages, understanding developmental and comfort needs.
+ Written communication skills for taking clear, accurate messages.
+ Computer skills with the ability to navigate a Windows-based environment.
+ Solid organizational abilities and attention to detail.
+ Physical ability to:
+ Walk long distances while pushing a cart.
+ File alphabetically and numerically.
+ Availability to work **weekends, holidays** , and rotating shifts as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Completion of coursework in **medical terminology** .
+ **Previous phlebotomy experience** in a healthcare setting.
