ROLE** **SUMMARY
We are seeking a strategic and technically experienced **Bending Product Manager** to lead our press brake and bending technology portfolio. This role combines in-depth technical expertise in press brake forming processes with strong customer-facing communication and product leadership skills. The ideal candidate will serve as the subject matter expert on press brake equipment, offline programming software, and tooling—bridging the gap between product development, sales, engineering, and end users.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ **Product Strategy & Management**
+ Define and execute the product roadmap for bending systems, including press brakes and related software tools.
+ Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive insights to guide product innovation and development.
+ Collaborate with R&D and engineering to define product requirements and ensure alignment with market expectations.
+ **Customer Engagement & Value Communication**
+ Clearly articulate the technical and operational value proposition of press brake systems to potential and existing customers.
+ Support sales and marketing with product positioning, competitive differentiation, and customer presentations.
+ Serve as a technical authority during pre-sales discussions, customer demos, and trade shows.
+ **Technical Demonstrations & Application Support**
+ Demonstrate and explain offline press brake programming software and its integration into shop-floor workflows.
+ Analyze CAD files and sheet metal parts to determine optimal bend sequences, tooling requirements, and machine parameters.
+ Select and configure appropriate press brake tooling based on material type, thickness, geometry, and bend complexity.
+ **Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership**
+ Work closely with sales, engineering, applications, and service teams to support product launches and customer satisfaction.
+ Act as the internal advocate for the bending product line, driving improvements in functionality, usability, and performance.
+ Provide training and guidance to internal teams and channel partners on bending processes and equipment.
**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES** : None
**TRAVEL:** Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed (up to 30%).
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
+ **Compensation: $130,000 – $160,000 annually,** depending on qualifications and experience (DOQ).

Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Extensive experience with CNC press brake forming processes and machine operation.
+ Deep understanding of press brake tooling, bend allowances, and sheet metal material properties.
+ Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and capable of performing part analysis.
+ Skilled in using and demonstrating offline programming software for press brakes (e.g., RADAN, AutoPOL, LVD CADMAN).
+ Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
+ Proven ability to collaborate across teams in a fast-paced, technical environment.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Experience in a product management, product marketing, or applications engineering role within the metal fabrication industry.
+ Familiarity with multiple press brake brands and control systems.
+ Prior involvement in product lifecycle management, from concept through commercialization
