    ROLE** **SUMMARY

    We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-oriented **Press Brake Applications Specialist** to support our technical sales and engineering teams. This role involves demonstrating press brake equipment and offline programming software to potential customers, showcasing capabilities through hands-on machine operation and CAD-based part analysis. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in sheet metal bending, CAD proficiency, and a solid grasp of press brake tooling and programming.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Perform live press brake demonstrations for prospective and current customers.

    + Program and run press brake machinery to illustrate precision, flexibility, and performance.

    + Demonstrate and explain offline press brake programming software and its integration with shop-floor workflows.

    + Analyze CAD drawings to determine optimal bend sequences and tooling requirements.

    + Select and set up appropriate press brake tooling based on material, thickness, and geometry.

    + Collaborate with sales, engineering, and customers to address specific application needs.

    + Support trade shows, onsite customer visits, and internal testing efforts.

    + Provide feedback to engineering and product development teams based on customer input and real-world usage.

    + Stay current on industry trends, software updates, and new machine capabilities.

    **SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES** : None

    **TRAVEL:** Willingness to travel to customer sites, trade shows, and company facilities as needed.

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

    + **Compensation: $80,000 – $110,000 annually,** depending on qualifications and experience (DOQ).

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).

    + Extensive hands-on experience with sheet metal bending and CNC press brake operation.

    + Strong ability to analyze CAD part files and determine required press brake tooling and bend sequences.

    + Familiarity with offline press brake programming systems (e.g., AutoPOL, RADAN, LVD CADMAN, etc.).

    + Solid understanding of metal forming principles and press brake mechanics.

    + Effective verbal and written communication skills.

    + Ability to convey technical information clearly in customer-facing environments.

    + High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Experience working with a variety of press brake brands and tooling systems.

    + Prior experience in a technical sale, application engineering, or customer support role.

    + Knowledge of forming simulations and automated bend allowance calculations.

    + Comfortable speaking in front of potential customers.
