    Medical Associates is hiring an **IT Services Manager** , based onsite at the West Campus in Dubuque, Iowa.

    Where You Will Be Working:

    Medical Associates Clinic is a physician owned multi-specialty group practice. Our 200+ providers and 900 health care professionals lead the way in providing quality healthcare in Northeast Iowa, Southwest Wisconsin and Northwest Illinois.

    What You Will Be Doing:

    As the IT Manager, you will ensure high quality customer service is a top priority of this department. Develop and implement processes to ensure customer needs are understood and issues are resolved in a timely fashion. Provide leadership for the areas of Help Desk, Clinical Applications Support, and IT Systems Training functions within IT. Works closely with other IT leaders to achieve overall department objectives.

    Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

    + Manage assigned vendor relationships and ensure required actions are proceeding according to established timelines.

    + Lead day-to-day end user support for a variety of applications, interfaces, and other customer support needs: including identification of problems and issues, and leading corrective action processes.

    + Facilitate and coordinate team member interaction with physicians and other business partners to resolve conflicts and complaints. Proactively resolve issues and effectively communicate progress and outcomes.

    + Collaborate with internal customers to identify top organizational IT priorities and partner with internal IT organization to deliver on items in a customer service fashion.

    + Manage the selection, training, development, cross-training, performance evaluation, and performance issues for direct reports and departmental staff. Prepare schedule and assign work to assure adequate staffing levels to deliver a high level of service. Empower the staff to assure a high level of service delivery.

    + Apply project management skills to effectively lead a variety of IT Projects. Develop effective and efficient processes within the IT Services team to maximize team effectiveness.

    + Participate in professional development activities and maintain current knowledge applications, products and hardware supported by team.

    + Complete all other assigned projects and duties

    Knowledge & Skills:

    **_Experience:_** Five years to ten years of similar or related experience.

    **_Education:_** Equivalent to a college degree.

    **_Interpersonal Skills_** _:_ Strong interpersonal relationship skills with ability to build solid rapport and workplace relationships with staff, physicians, and all support personnel.

    A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, and/is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important (vendor reps, labs, offices, hospital, etc.) and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.

    **Other Skills:** Effective organizational, oral and written communication skills, problem solving, program development, computer skills, strong leadership, and team building skills.

    Physical Aspects:

    Reaching - Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

     

    Lifting - Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles

     

    Fingering - Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.

     

    Talking - Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly.

     

    Hearing - Perceiving the nature of sound with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make fine discriminations in sound, such as when making fine adjustments on machined parts.

     

    Vision - 20 / 40 or better in the best eye with or without correction.

    Repetitive Motions - Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

     

    Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
