    Engineering Enablement and Solutions (EES) was formed with the vision to deliver and sustain software solutions for the engineering function. The engineering function comprises about 9 disciplines with the largest user’s base being Project, Systems, Software, Mechanical and Electrical discipline. A signification energy within EES is dedicated to a one Collins Product Lifecycle Management Solution.

    This role will lead the strategic development, governance, and operational excellence of our enterprise PLM ecosystem. The Role will be responsible for ensuring that engineering, manufacturing, and business stakeholders have a single source of truth for product data across the entire lifecycle — from concept through production, service, and end-of-life.

    What YOU will do:

    + Define and execute the long-term vision and roadmap for next generation one Collins Aerospace PLM platform, aligned with enterprise engineering, manufacturing, and compliance goals.

    + Lead the delivery, configuration, scalability, and lifecycle management of the main PLM systems Siemens Teamcenter and Dassault Enovia and related integrations with CAD, MBSE, ERP, MES, and other systems

    + Drive definition and continuous improvement of business processes in areas like change control, configuration management, release management, document control, and Bill of Materials (BOM) governance.

    + Ensure end-to-end data connectivity across product lifecycle stages — connecting design, simulation, manufacturing, and service in a unified digital thread.

    + Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, IT, and Compliance teams to align PLM capabilities with enterprise objectives and operational needs.

    + Define and enforce data governance, access control, audit trails, and compliance workflows across global PLM operations.

    + Champion organizational readiness for new features, upgrades, and transformational initiatives related to PLM usage and maturity.

    + Operational Excellence: Foster an action-bias culture; Establish KPIs, SLAs, and performance tracking to ensure continuous improvement in DT service delivery and user.

    + Build an high performing culture, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of solution managers, analysts, and engineers; promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration. Hire, retain, and scale a world-class team.

    + Working with the Vendor management team stay up to date on strategic Vendor Roadmaps, changes to licensing strategies etc. that could impact user experience and/or cost of ownership.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    + Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience **or** an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience.

    + 10+ years of experience working with PLM systems in engineering/manufacturing environments in a stage gate development process.

    + Deep knowledge of leading PLM platforms (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill, 3DEXPERIENCE) and related business processes.

    + Prior experience of having analyzed and recommended preferred PLM platform.

    Qualifications We Prefer:

    + Strong stakeholder engagement skills across engineering, supply chain, and operations

    + Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

    + Experience with leading PLM platforms (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill, 3DEXPERIENCE) and related business processes

    + Exposure to Agile/SAFe implementation and enterprise architecture frameworks

    + Experience with MBSE integration, configuration control frameworks, and digital thread/twin strategies.

    + Experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., aerospace, automotive, defense).

    The salary range for this role is 176,000 USD - 352,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

     

    RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
