Position Summary

The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for the direction and leadership of the operational, financial, programmatic and personal activities of Supply Chain Services at Hunterdon Health. This encompasses the overall supply chain, procurement, acquisition and distribution of materials, equipment and services, by maintaining the supply inventory in a cost saving and timely manner for the organization. The Director is responsible for establishing, meeting, and continuously monitoring the goals and objectives while maintaining alignment with the strategic goals and objectives for the Health System. In addition, this role will also serve as a resource to senior management and physicans in matters related to purchasing procedures, expense reduction initiatives, value analysis and contract negotiations. Directs and responsible for departmental functions of Courier and Mail services.

Regular and frequent contact with administration, physicians, vendors, agencies, and hospital employees in providing service and information resolving issues and obtaining agreements.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject area such as business, finance, supply chain or relevant field.

Preferred:

Master's degree in a relevant subject area such as business, finance, supply chain or relevant field.

Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):

Required:

3 years relevant experience in Supply Chain management/leadership within healthcare or related industry.

Preferred:

5 years relevant experience in Supply Chain management/leadership within healthcare or related industry.
