    Program: East Williamsburg Shelter

     

    Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000

    Program Overview:

    East Williamsburg Shelter is an emergency men’s shelter which helps 135 individuals (55 and older) with substance use histories work towards health, sobriety, and, ultimately, permanent housing and employment. In addition to lodging and three meals a day, clients receive comprehensive case management services

    Position Overview:

    Under the general direction of the Program Director, the DSS provides clinical supervision and oversight to the multidisciplinary team

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    The essential duties of the Position include but are not limited to the following activities:

    + Regularly meets with Direct Reports on an individual and group basis to clarify roles and approaches for delivering services to clients, making corrective recommendations as appropriate.

    + Assists in hiring and training clinical team when there are vacancies

    + Facilitates staff and team meetings.

    + Interfaces with the community, neighborhood associations and other local service providers.

    + Develop weekly caseload breakdown and assign new admissions to staff

    + Oversee clinical documentation and ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely manner

    + Interfaces with other city/state agencies as needed to better serve the clients, insuring the timely completion of weekly, monthly, and annual reports.

    + Participates in case conferences in response to client complaints, using conflict resolution techniques to amicably resolve issues

    + Available to respond to emergencies on a 24/7/365 basis

    + Performs other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    + MA in social work, counseling, psychology, family therapy or related field

    + BA plus required minimum of three (3) years in the substance use field

     

    Knowledge of case management software as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with CARES (DHS Software) Bilingual or multilingual a plus
