Responsibilities
The Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL is conducting a search for a Medical Oncologist with interest and expertise in sarcoma. The ideal candidate would be an oncologist with clinical experience and skills and ambition to expand the established sarcoma practice at Mayo Clinic, FL, and is committed to developing, conducting, and supporting investigator initiated, or pharmaceutical sponsored clinical trials. Candidates with expertise or interest in cell therapy and advanced immunotherapy for solid tumors are especially encouraged to apply, with opportunities to help expand Mayo Clinic Florida’s emerging cell therapy and translational immuno-oncology programs. The oncologist would also be expected to support the education shield at Mayo Clinic and teach the Hematology/Oncology fellows, medicine residents and medical students.
Our model of care involves a multi-disciplinary team (nurse practitioner, nurse and oncologist), as well as specialists from surgery and radiation oncology. As Mayo Clinic is a comprehensive cancer center, our patients have access to comprehensive diagnostics and clinical trials through our phase I program, the phase II consortium, and national cooperative group studies.

Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, one of 3 locations of the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center, has an established and growing physician practice with a national and international patient base. The Mayo Medical Oncology group in Jacksonville is known for its integrated multidisciplinary clinical and research practice working in close collaboration with our dermatology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology and radiology colleagues. There are approximately 740 full time faculty physicians, 260 residents and fellows practice at this location. The salary and benefits package are commensurate with the candidate’s training and experience.
Qualifications
Board-certification or board-eligibility in Medical Oncology is required. Must be eligible for state of Florida licensure.
