Description

We are seeking a skilled Production Support Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting critical applications and services. This role is essential to ensuring uptime, reliability, and optimal performance of our production systems. You will troubleshoot issues in real-time, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide technical support across software applications, infrastructure, and database environments.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Provide day-to-day technical support for production systems, including incident resolution, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

+ Analyze and resolve system outages, application failures, and performance issues with a sense of urgency.

+ Write and optimize complex SQL queries to diagnose and correct data-related issues.

+ Work with Unix/Linux systems for scripting, log analysis, and system-level debugging.

+ Utilize Python to automate tasks, monitor systems, and support custom toolsets.

+ Collaborate with engineering, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployments and integrations.

+ Manage cloud-based environments and infrastructure, primarily on AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.).

+ Maintain detailed documentation for recurring issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.

+ Participate in on-call rotations and be available for after-hours support when needed.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

+ 3+ years of experience in production or software support roles.

+ Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle).

+ Strong experience with Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.

+ Hands-on programming skills in Python (or willingness to learn quickly).

+ Experience working with AWS cloud services.

+ Familiarity with monitoring tools, incident management systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow), and ticketing workflows.

+ Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Background in software development or DevOps practices.

+ Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

+ Understanding of log aggregation and monitoring tools (ELK, Datadog, Prometheus, etc.).

+ Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices for incident/change/problem management.
