Job Title: CNC Programmer/Machinist

Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $75,000 – $100,000 annually

CNC PROGRAMMER/MACHINIST

SUMMARY

CNC Programmer/Machinist to support prototype production through advanced CNC programming and machining operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both CNC and manual machining, with exposure to high-precision, engineering-driven environments.

WORK SCHEDULE

Week 1: Monday–Friday (Mon–Thurs: 9 hours/day, Fri: 8 hours)

Week 2: Monday–Thursday (9 hours/day), with every other Friday off

Flexible start time (doors open at 6:30 AM; preferred start around 8:00 AM)

Occasional extra hours may be required

RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Develop manufacturing processes and documentation, including tooling selection, work-holding, fixturing, CAM programming, finishing processes, and work instructions

+ Program, set up, and operate CNC mills, lathes, Swiss machines, and EDM equipment

+ Apply GD&T principles and qualify parts using SMTE (QC support available as needed)

+ Maintain schedules throughout the manufacturing phase

+ Research and implement the latest in manufacturing technology and processes

+ Participate in product development/design reviews and collaborate on production planning

QUALIFICATIONS

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience OR 5+ years of hands-on machine shop experience

+ Proven background as a Manufacturing Engineer, Machinist, or Toolmaker (portfolio of projects preferred)

+ CNC programming and execution experience (required)

+ Proficient with Mastercam and SolidWorks

+ Hands-on experience with 5-axis machining, live tool lathes, and Swiss lathe machining

+ Familiar with controls such as FANUC, HAAS, MITSUBISHI, SIEMENS, and CELOS

+ Working knowledge of lean manufacturing practices and ISO 9001/13485 standards

+ Strong problem-solving ability

+ Macro/Post Processor experience is a plus
