**Manager Promo Inventory & Supply Chain** manages a team of demand planners to ensure forecasts meet our customer’s needs. Leads the team by developing and refining processes to improve forecast accuracy and adapt to changing market conditions. Partners closely with key business partners in merchandising and marketing to better understand customer needs. Works with vendor partners to ensure products are received in warehouses on time for promotions. Partners with Staples teams to keep incremental distribution costs low by ensuring adequate stock is spread across the network while meeting or exceeding inventory dollar levels. Controls backorder and sold-out processes for at-risk products. The team also manages drop ship vendor onboarding and inventory. Additionally, manages Quill supply chain customer experience and partners with Staples on companywide initiatives, including order fulfillment, delivery, warehouse SOPs, and more.
What you’ll be doing:
+ Responsible for promotional forecast accuracy
+ Leads planning for Quill premiums and manages inventory goals
+ Manages divert costs and analysis for Quill inventory
+ Controls backorder and sold-out processes for at-risk products along with setting customer limits
What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
+ 5+ years of relevant experience in inventory and/or analytics.
+ Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
+ Proven process development a plus
+ Proven project management abilities and leadership/collaboration skills
+ Analytical skills - ability to produce, interpret, and make business recommendations/decisions
+ Excellent written & verbal communication/interpersonal skills
+ Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize tasks based on fluctuating deadlines while continually meeting due dates and maintaining a positive attitude
+ Ability to work in a team or independently
+ Detail orientated with high degree of accuracy
+ Quickly pick up on new processes and systems
