Global Pricing Director

Reporting to the Senior Director Commercial Operations, the Global Pricing Director, is the strategic leader responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive pricing strategies that drive profitability and market share. Will work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, analyze market trends, and make data-driven recommendations to support business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of leading successful pricing initiatives at a high level.
Strategic Pricing Leadership:
+ Develop and oversee the implementation of advanced pricing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
+ Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer behavior to identify pricing opportunities and risks.
+ Provide strategic direction and thought leadership on pricing to executive management and key stakeholders.
Competitor and Market Analysis:
+ Lead the continuous monitoring of competitor pricing strategies and market dynamics.
+ Conduct in-depth competitive benchmarking to ensure our pricing remains competitive and aligned with market trends.
+ Develop actionable insights and recommendations based on market intelligence.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
+ Partner with sales, marketing, finance, and product teams to gather insights and align pricing strategies with overall business goals.
+ Lead cross-functional initiatives to support pricing for new product launches and promotional activities.
+ Foster a culture of collaboration and shared objectives across departments.
Price Optimization and Management:
+ Utilize advanced pricing analytics and tools to identify and implement opportunities for price optimization.
+ Regularly review and refine pricing models based on performance metrics and market changes.
+ Ensure consistent pricing practices across different customer segments/geos.
Contract Negotiation and Support:
+ Provide strategic support to the sales team in negotiating pricing and contracts with key customers.
+ Develop guidelines and frameworks for pricing negotiations to ensure alignment with business objectives.
+ Maintain pricing integrity and consistency across all contractual agreements.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
+ Lead the analysis of sales data, customer behavior, and market trends to inform pricing decisions.
+ Prepare and present comprehensive reports on pricing performance to senior management.
+ Drive continuous improvement in pricing processes through data-driven insights and best practices.
Manages the performance of direct reports by developing accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing career counseling, feedback and guidance and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to.
Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices
Performs other duties as directed.
+ Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field plus 7-10 years of experience in managing price in a service business; MBA preferred.
+ Proven experience in a senior pricing management role, preferably in a leadership capacity.
+ Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in advanced data analysis tools.
+ Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
+ Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach and a track record of successful pricing strategy implementation.
Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $151,800 to $202,300 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 30% of the base salary and long term incentive plan with a target payout of 30% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (20 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
