Job Description

One of Insight Global's clients in the Oil and Gas industry is looking to hire a Sr. Oracle DBA within their Optimization group. This team is dedicated to optimizing field operations and oil production through systems and software. This person will be involved in various projects related to optimizing production volumes, drilling processes, environmental planning, and more. The Sr. DBA will be responsible for schema design. data validation, database design and some backend development. The ideal candidate will have experience building Oracle databases, data cleaning, source control, data backups, and query optimization during production support. They are looking for someone to optimize the current database structure. The database that the optimization group owns is Oracle, but this person will also be required to tap into other team's databases that could be Postgres or MemSQL. This position is based in downtown, Houston and requires working onsite 5 days / week. Based on knowledge and years of experience, this position offers an hourly pay rate range of $65-75/hr.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience with Oracle

Experienced and knowledgeable in database design

Strong experience designing database schemas

Expert PL/SQL scripting

Experience working with large file uploads (over 200k data points)

Experience with Postgres and MemSQL Background in software development

Skilled with TypeScript programming, Node.js, or Python development

Experience in the O&G industry null
