    The AWS Artifact team is in the business of building customer trust. When retailers want to understand how they can safely and legally accept credit card payments, they use our services. When hospitals struggle with regulations for handling confidential patient data, that’s us too. Customers or security auditors want to understand the compliance posture of an AWS service? Yup, that’s us too. Our services are used by external customers, security teams and service teams across AWS allowing our team a unique view across the whole landscape of AWS. We are a multidisciplinary team comprising software engineers, security engineers, technical product/program managers, data engineers, and compliance specialists.     We are looking for a passionate, innovative, results oriented technical program manager. You are someone who loves managing programs and is committed to formulating and implementing wide-ranging process improvements. You are passionate about the security of the cloud and you want to solve real business problems. We have a team culture that encourages innovation and we expect team members and management alike to take a high degree of ownership for their program vision and execution of ideas. You possess strong communication skills, can operate independently, and have a consistent track record of delivery. You have an understanding of basic technical concepts, and possess a broad understanding of AWS services. You are detail-oriented, and drive towards improved performance while advocating for customer needs.

    Key job responsibilities

    As a TPM in AWS Artifact you will be responsible for a set of long-term security outcomes. Your day to day job responsibilities will include:

     

    - Responsible for the end-to-end project management functions of large programs including planning, risk and issue management, trade-offs and execution.

     

    - To utilize strong verbal and written communication skills to drive consensus, make decisions , provide updates to senior leadership, innovate on behalf of customers

     

    - Work closely with the software development team on delivering high-quality solutions, and provide guidance regarding architecture, design, and priorities.

     

    - Lead internal process improvement projects, including the development and implementation of internal tools

    Basic Qualifications

    - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience

     

    - 7+ years of technical program management experience, including direct work with software engineering teams, managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and critical path management experience

     

    - 3+ years of software development experience

     

    - Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

     

    - Experience with cloud computing platforms and security/compliance frameworks (SOC, ISO, PCI, HIPAA)

     

    - AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, Security Specialty)

     

    - Experience with risk management and security programs

     

    - MBA or technical master's degree
