In the **Temporary** **Quality Operator** role at Shenandoah Brewery working in Elkton, Virginia you will be part of the brewery quality team. The Temporary Quality Operator position is responsible for performing a variety of basic microbiological or chemical and physical analyses on products, raw materials, in-process materials per Molson Coors quality system requirements and for performing the following duties.
This position reports to the Quality Manager and works closely with warehouse, dispatch, brewery and packaging departments.
What You'll Be Brewing
+ Interprets, evaluates, and reports the analyses in terms of accuracy, precision, and timeliness.
+ Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical process control.
+ Applies method, instrument, and data systems expertise to resolve problems.
+ Links analytical or microbiological results with a basic understanding of brewing and packaging processes.
+ Performs high level instrumental analyses such as HPLC, GC, and AA.
+ Collaborates with the operational business units and quality specialists in each process area by:
+ Supporting adherence to quality system standards and requirements
+ Partnering to enable and drive continuous and focused improvement to reduce variability in each process area
+ Interpreting, analyzing, validating, and reporting quality data clearly and consistently.
+ Monitoring, validating, and improving process measurement equipment, systems and reporting.
+ Each role is responsible for adhering to all rules, regulations, policies, programs and related Molson Coors Quality Management System, e.g., SQF, HACCP and GMP, etc. to ensure safety and quality of Molson Coors products.
Key Ingredients
+ Bachelor’s degree in a science related field of study or 1-3 years microbiology laboratory/brewing experience. (Preferred degrees in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cereal Science, Microbiology, Food Science, Agronomy, and Chemical Engineering).
