    Job Description

    Manufacturing Technician II

     

    Join a top team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Manufacturing Technician II. Work on ambitious projects, ensuring flawless manufacturing and testing of products.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble and test electrical and mechanical components with precision and accuracy.

    + Read and interpret wiring diagrams, pinout instructions, engineering drawings, and assembly instructions.

    + Use standard electronic assembly and testing equipment, including soldering irons, multimeters, crimp tools, and torque tools.

    + Maintain strict adherence to quality management systems and safety programs.

    + Collaborate with team members to successfully implement production schedules and meet manufacturing goals.

    + Conduct inspections using optical microscopes and SEM or FIB tools.

    Required Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or equivalent experience.

    + Minimum of 5 years' experience assembling and solving complex electrical and mechanical components and systems problems.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Associate degree in an Electronics or Technology field and/or 5 years of related experience.

    + Experience in a production environment, particularly following standard operating procedures and manufacturing schedules.

    Skills & Abilities

    + Strong work ethic and social skills.

    + Fluently speak, read, and write English.

    + Capable of lifting 35 pounds unassisted.

    + Ability to work sitting or standing for extended periods.

    + Visual acuity and hand/eye coordination to manipulate and test small components.

    + Diligent, a self-starter, and can work with minimal supervision.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
