    As an MRI & Ct Tech Assistant, you will support our dedicated staff technologists and departmental team in delivering exceptional MRI and CT services.

     

    You'll also assist and enhance the provision of MRI and CT services to our valued patients under the direct supervision of a certified technologist.

    Schedule:

    Work hours are 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday, including every other weekend rotation. No holidays required.

    Responsibilities:

    + Patient Interaction: Welcome patients upon arrival, assist with paperwork, and address scheduling and patient history inquiries.

    + Patient Assistance: Escort patients to dressing areas and provide necessary assistance.

    + Safety Screening: Conduct MRI screenings to ensure safe scanning and entrance into the MRI scan room.

    + Patient Transfers: Aid in lifting and transferring patients to and from exam tables.

    + IV Access: Establish IV access for contrast administration (IV training preferred but not required).

    + Contrast Preparation: Assist technologists in preparing oral contrast and provide patient instructions.

    + Imaging Preparation: Properly pad, position, center, and align patients for imaging according to established protocols.

    + Monitoring: Perform telemetry monitoring during exams if applicable, and provide patient care support.

    + Discharge Instructions: Deliver discharge instructions as directed by the technologist.

    + Quality Control: Report equipment malfunctions and assist in performing daily and weekly QC testing.

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + At least one-year of previous healthcare experience.

    + Medical terminology and recent medical/imaging office experience preferred.

    + IV insertion experience preferred.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

    + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

    + CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

    + Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal

    + Act 33 with renewal

    + Act 34 with renewal

    + Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
